We can safely say that beauty is in the eye of the observer, and what makes one beautiful may significantly vary from one person to another. Even though body satisfaction is genuinely individual, everyone deserves a plastic surgeon who understands their needs and puts their safety first.
So, if you are considering having cosmetic surgery, here is a list of procedures doctors don’t recommend and are against them, no matter how much you insist.
Abdominoplasty
Also known as a tummy tuck, abdominoplasty was a standard procedure done in the past. Even though many doctors claim they have better and improved methods that prevent scarring and complications, a tummy tuck is still considered a risky move.

Some may offer their patients variations of a tummy tuck, such liposuction, but also, this can be dangerous. If you remove too much fat, the patient may die. This is one of the reasons why some surgeons abandoned liposuction a long time ago.
A lot of times, you may encounter doctors who will try to convince you that they can improve the look of your lower abdomen. But, if you are working with a professional and a medically responsible person, then he will never suggest that.
Cheek fat removal
Cheek fat removal includes removing fat from the inside of the mouth to reduce the fullness of the cheeks and provide slimmer appearance.
Although his procedure has been in use for many years, some doctors tend to perform cheek fat removal on people who don’t really need it.
For example, if an experienced surgeon works on a candidate, to him give him a hollow look, then cheek fat removal is a safe and hardly dangerous procedure. On the other hand, if a person is already thin in that area, then giving him a slimmer appearance might be a bad idea, especially when he starts to age.
Fillers that don’t include hyaluronic acid
After Botox, fillers are the most popular cosmetic procedure done in the U.S. When injected under the skin; they tend to pump up the areas on your face, such as lips or wrinkles.

However, fillers are made of various substances, and doctors often suggest using only ones that feature hyaluronic acid. They are the safest alternative since you can melt them away if you don’t like the results.
On the other hand, if you use a filler that can’t be reversed and it’s accidentally injected into a blood vessel, you can lose part of your lips or nose.
Brazilian butt lift
Brazilian butt lift became popular due to celebrity star Kim Kardashian. But, the problem with this surgical procedure is the fact that it has the highest mortality rate of them all. When performed by a highly qualified surgeon, 1 in 3000 dies.
For perspective, mortality rates for other plastic surgeries are 1 in 50,000 or 1 in 100,000. The common cause of death is fat emboli. In this case, the fat is injected to close to large veins in the buttock. Eventually, it will go through them and clog up the vessels around the lungs.
